Three thousand England fans attended this pre Euro 2004 Friendly International celebrating one-hundred years of Swedish football. England were unable to score, despite hitting the woodwork and having a spectacular twenty yard strike from Jermain Defoe tipped over the bar. The game's only goal came after fifty-four minutes when Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic slotted home from a close range.
