Michael Owen scores England's winning goal in this 2-1 victory to notch up three points for England in their first Euro 2004 qualifying match. Slovakia's goal by Szlizard Nemeth was earlier cancelled out by a David Beckham goal, a free kick which directly entered the net as Michael Owen's attempt to make contact with the ball decieved the Slovakian keeper.
