England’s great first-half display saw an individual wonder-goal from Man of the Match Joe Cole. The second-half saw a determined fight back from Sweden and some nervous moments
in the English defence, the drawn game eventually landing England the top spot position in Group B. Sweden’s first goal was the two-thousandth goal in all World Cup competition matches.
