England took the lead with a fine Frank Lampard shot that beat Jens Lehmann at his near post, Germany drew level when Paul Robinson, finding himself badly positioned, could only palm out a high cross for Kevin Kuranyi to finish with a simple tap in.
The winning goal in this entertaining match came from a spectacular long range drive by Christian Pander.
