England’s first match in the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign ended in a 2-2 draw.England went into a two goal lead through a cleverly worked indirect free-kick scored by Frank Lampard on twenty-four minutes and a looping shot from Steven Gerrard on sixty-four minutes.Austria came back with goals from Kollman after seventy-one minutes and Ivanschitz on seventy-three minutes to deny England the three points.
